My name is Willemijn Denissen. I have been working as a professional artist since 1993 and started working in stone and bronze statues. Many of my paintings are made with acrylic paint.

The rust and colors of nature inspire me. In my three-dimensional work I usually use humans. As I work with the material, I show the association that comes to mind during the fabrication of the artwork. For me personally, art is an inner experience that gives me emotions.

I use the power of those emotions together with color and technique to unleash something inner within me that is difficult to describe in words. Something that affected consciousness. The work of art created with this ensures that this emotion can be relived for a long time. If someone buys a statue from me and feels the same emotion, I think they can go to the new owner.
